Kybella (deoxycholic acid) is the only FDA approved injectable for adults that destroys fat cells to gradually improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe submental fat, also called “double chin”.

Treatment consists of multiple small injections under the chin. The exact number of injections per treatment and the number of treatments depends on the amount of fat present and the patients desired profile and personal treatment goals. Each Kybella treatment session should be at least 1 month apart, and patients should not receive more than 6 treatments total.
